DIRECTING
MILLION DOLLAR BABY Clint Eastwood
Who I predicted: The Aviator- hmmm this was a tough one...but I'm still pretty sad with the result- this struck me as Scorcese's year- he's well overdue and keeps turning out oscar worthy films that just don't make the final cut.

DOCUMENTARY FEATURE
BORN INTO BROTHELS Ross Kauffman and Zana Briski
Who I predicted: Supersize Me. In all honesty, I'm happy with this result. I've heard that Born into Brothels is stellar and I wasn't a fan of Supersize Me.

DOCUMENTARY SHORT SUBJECT
MIGHTY TIMES: THE CHILDREN'S MARCH Robert Hudson and Bobby Houston
Who I predicted: Sister Rose's Passion. I'm not surprised to have gotten this one wrong. I hadn't seen any of the nominated films.

Who I predicted: ESSM: This is the best award I think they gave out all night. Nicely done!

SHORT FILM (ANIMATED)
RYAN Chris Landreth
Who I predicted: Birthday Boy. Had I know that Ryan was a canadian flick, I would have put y money elsewhere but not because I knew any better...I claim ignorance

SHORT FILM (LIVE ACTION)
WASP Andrea Arnold
Who I predicted: Wasp

SOUND EDITING
THE INCREDIBLES Michael Silvers and Randy Thom
Who I predicted: Spiderman 2. Oh well.

SOUND MIXING
RAY Scott Millan, Greg Orloff, Bob Beemer and Steve Cantamessa
Who I predicted: The Aviator; hmmm...well guess they had to give Ray a few more props than just a best actor.

VISUAL EFFECTS
SPIDER-MAN 2 John Dykstra, Scott Stokdyk, Anthony LaMolinara and John Frazier
Who I predicted: I, Robot- This actually makes me pretty sad. But I know it was well deserved none the less.

Well that's it- of the Big 5 (PICTURE, DIRECTOR, ACTOR, ACTRESS, WRITING ADAPTED) I got 4 out of 5.

Total out of 24: 13- not my best year...but not my worst either.
And that's that for the oscars
