Book Tag

So I've been "tagged" by David Cournoyer- I think that means that I have to answer this random series of questions pertaining to books. Huh- it's a good thing I'm home sick with mono and have nothing better to do. :P (nothing but love Dave-in-the-Cave)

Okay here goes:

# of Books that I own

Huh- somewhere around 500- I'm a ridiculous packrat for books. I can't seem to get rid of any of them- which is funny since I read the same books over and over all the time and I own some I haven't read yet.

Last book I bought (not including text books):

*Alberta Politics Uncovered: Taking back our Province by Marc Lisac - great book on Alberta politics.- Wow, Mr. EPIO- I'm all over this one too. But I also bought myself a new copy of 1984- I had beaten my own one senseless.

Last books I read:

- Stephen King's The Stand
- Michael Connely's Angel's Flight
- Bihr et Pfefferkorn= Homme/femmes: Quelle egalite?
- Green,Palmquist and Schickler= Partisan Hearts and Minds- Political Parties and the Social Identities of Voters (a statistical study on voting tendancies)
- Thomas King= The Truth About Stories- a Native Narrative

Five Books that mean a lot to me.

1- The Bible- and yes, I'm serious.
2- The Giver (Lois Lowry)
3- My introductory sociology textbook= I found my passion (well, half of it)
4- 1984/ Animal Farm = introduced me to the second half of my passion= Politics
5- Justice on the peace= a book that studied the practice of law up north, that featured my father and was released very shortly after his death.

So, according to Dave, at this point, I'm supposed to "tag" other bloggers as "it"...huh: let's go with Sarah, Steve Smith and Rachel

K- I'm done for now.

Blogging from Council Chambers

Question period. Good times.

Dave Cournoyer, EPIO, came to council today- it's his first time. How cute. HI DAVE!

Sarah is far away from me. I can make faces across the room to her. Also good times.

Oooo- webboard question. This could be fun: Justin says that the webboard was brought up at EXEC- Kehoe recommended investigating bringing back the webboard- Exec agreed. It will be coming back soon.

VP ACADEMIC QUESTION: OOOO- fun stuff. Smart Classrooms. It is difficult to use smart classrooms, according to Crossman...you have to PAY to use a smart classroom??? Very silly U of A- oh wait, you have to get "trained" to use smart classrooms. Very silly. Well maybe not, but it does seem that way.

I really like Catrin's dress today. Very pretty. And Jamaal's hat. Can you tell that I'm bored?

Sarah is playing with her necklace.

I'm making fun of her again.

Good times.

K- I'm done now.

I think.

Yup.

Chillin' at Graham's

So I'm sitting here, in the apartment of the President, feeling priviledged amoung persons and it occurs to me that it has been a long time since I've spent time with him. This of course makes me think of how long it has been since I've spent time with ANY of my friends. My new job has been eating up all of my time lately. It kind of sucks.

But it is nice to sit here with G-Lett and Colpitts and just chill again. I missed this. (not that there was much chilling during the campaign, but you know what I mean).

We're hack talking. It's kinda funny, our office follows us everywhere. Also kinda sad. But whatever.

I'm almost done the report. It's 92 pages long now. 30,000 words. About 80 graphs. Somewhere around 150 direct man hours.

I'm looking forward to getting some sort of semblance of a life back. Stupid survey,

Sarah is a god send. She's making me laugh right now. I enjoy that.
Graham is a good President. I'm happy.
I'm a little nervous about the fact that I'm going to be doing this for the next 11 months.

This post makes no sense. I'm ending it cause I have a house party to get to.

Payce,
